Didn't see any trouble but a group of gobby kids were being escorted back into Oldham by the police at about half five. Refused to get on the bus to Rochdale at the hospital cos they'd have to pay

There was trouble on Broadway. The police horses shot out of the car park closely followed by police on foot. A policeman tripped up just in front of us and fell onto the floor in his haste. We held back not wanting to get caught up. The police had the Oldham fans quickly kettled up. As we approached soon after one Oldham fan told me that your lads took one hell of a beating, and I wouldn't go up there if I were you... that's where all the Oldham fans are going, pointing along Broadway towards Royton. The car was parked in that direction, so we had to get past the troublemakers in what was a slightly tense atmosphere.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

After the home game there was a group of Oldham fans going down Mellor Street hunting for Dale fans. I kept my head down and tried to keep my distance. I was glad I had nothing obvious identifying me as a Dale fan. Sounds like others weren't so lucky on Saturday. I guess some Oldham fans are still living in the 1980s, which is rather sad.

We thought it was a bit weird that the two pitch invaders that ran on specifically to goad Dale fans were just allowed to do so, then eventually pushed back into the stand with no repercussions.

Edit: Just seen this was mentioned in a different thread.

The fat lad who bounded across the pitch had cracking man-boob bouncing going on.

Yep Man boob boy was outside goading young Dale fans of about 14/17 years old along with his older mates of about 50 YO , one looking like Butterbean. Absolutely pathetic , he should of been nicked for entering the pitch. Couldnt see them lot causing any damage to Dale fans tbh , I hope as usual it was all billy BS they were spouting. But maybe they did attack Dads and lads , they looked the sort.

Yes, they were sat in the North Stand seats G18 & G19 directly in front of me and my partner, who's from Oldham and was attending her first ever football league game. We watched as, about 5 minutes before the match ended, an elderly white-haired steward had a word with them, friendly-like. At the final whistle, they were allowed onto the pitch through the gate at the bottom of the stand, giving it large to the Dale end for a couple of minutes until the police started to take notice and were then allowed back into the stand through the gate being held open by said steward. My partner asked me why this was being allowed to happen and I couldn't find the words to explain to her that it shouldn't be happening. They'd been making a nuisance of themselves for most of the match.

I just think it is ridiculous how the fans were able to enter the pitch and run over and didnt suffer any punishment when it was our young lads who where ushered away by police. I know 2 dale fans who spent 14 hours in a cell 2 years ago at the last home game for alot less than what them lads did on sat!

There was a big sign on the pitch wall facing our fans warning us that it is a CRIMINAL offence to enter the pitch. Their stewards made no attempt to enforce this when their fans entered the pitch goading our fans. So they were inciting violence in addition to the criminal offence of being on the pitch.

At Northampton ,in January, when Lund scored his hatrick one of our fans ran on the pitch to celebrate with the players after we scored. He was whisked off the pitch in seconds as you would expect.

I've always wondered what these people get out of causing trouble. It doesn't benefit the club as all the police will do is increase their security status so the club are paying more money on extra police and stewards when they could be using that money to spend on improving the squad. It also puts off any potential new customers if they read about trouble at football matches.

If these people just have a sick obsession with thumping people just because they support a different team, maybe they should be spending their spare time at anger management classes instead of football matches. Whatever they are, they aren't fans as they are risking their club getting a fine and fans wouldn't do anything to harm their club.

Whilst I agree, after spending 90+ minutes in close proximity I'd have to say they wouldn't have the ability to follow your logic
