If the pitch can’t deal with the rain that’s forecast after a dry day tomorrow we will have a real problem. We can’t afford to be running into a backlog of games on top of a tough run form wise. |  |

2-1 harrogate from a pen
If you thought the defending for the first goal was poor, Kelly managed to trump it. Messed up a back pass & then just as our keeper had pushed the forward wide, Kelly fouled him when there was no need. Clown like mistakes costing us 2 goals [Post edited 12 Feb 2022 15:32]

Sad that the pitch is so bad, but its no excuse for yet more bad defending.
Coleman and Kelly both at fault although the former has made a couple of good saves since.

The second goal really seemed to knock our confidence. Campbell should have scored immediately after their goal but missed a free header 7 yards out. After that all the best chances up to injury time came from Harrogate, helped by as bad a passing display as you will see. In injury time we had 2 great chances, both missed
On the positive side we had 10 shots with 4 on target. On the downside - the defending & passing. | | | |

Its the first time this season its felt like the players are less bothered about winning than the fans.
FGR noticeably talked throughout to each other, coaching and cajoling to get better. We're silent other than bits of whinging and arms thrown in the air. Team effort needed.
Kelly could've sneezed in the direction of the ball with that chance at the end but instead hesitated and watched it out. We're currently 20th, 5 points off the bottom 2 and struggling to see where the next points are coming from - if we're not putting bodies on the line now to score then when will we?
