The club needs to have a genuine rethink of the type of people we employ as stewards, it’s always been obvious they will give £15 and a yellow coat to anyone that fancies it, but tonight they were dangerously incompetent and not for the first time. Leaving the Pearl street at full time at the bottom of the steps was an old man on the floor, not sure what was happening but a fan had to literally run across the pitch to the main stand to get the attention of the medics, the stewards form a line behind the goals at full time, what were they doing?

Hope he is OK. Couple of guys on the floor asking people to give him room and not one steward took control of the situation.

Think that’s a bit harsh. There were enough people surrounding him that it was impossible to see there was anyone on the floor, especially not from where the stewards were standing. And I initially thought the fans waving to get the medics’ attention were simply waving at the players. I did hear a steward radio to get some medical assistance too. |  | | |
