Ah, the first Saturday in January, traditionally the time of the FA Cup third round.
Twenty years ago tomorrow I was on my way to Preston on the train.
More recently we’ve had the memories of games at Spotland against Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.
This Saturday may seem more mundane at first glance but if anything may prove to be more important in the club’s history than any of the above.

I expect the first member of staff gets into the club on a matchday before 11:30. So why does it take till then to get a tweet put out regards to a pitch inspection. Even if it was a positive one saying despite the rain the pitch drainage is doing its job. If the staff in early doors don't have access to the social media accounts. How about taking a picture of the pic and sending it to one of their colleagues that does.

Yes there’s been a lot of rain, but the pitch is in good condition and the drains were meant to have been sorted when it was all re-done during Covid.
We could do with knowing whether that work was worth it. The details of the situation, rather than apportioning blame elsewhere.

Vinny Suggs I hope you see this post. What the hell is your problem? All I ever see is abuse, snipes & negativity aimed at the club. Seriously mate, stop coming. The guy was basically going full conspiracy theory mode as if the club had an agenda to have the game postponed?
It’s the referees decision, it is absolutely nothing to do with the club!

To be fair it is half a dozen bellends who are frustrated. I have been there when half way to Rochdale and we hear of a pitch inspection. Not sure why people living locally need to whinge.
