Procter is starting at PNE at the moment. Admittedly that doesn't mean much as Westley changes his team more than Claudio Ranieri does in a training session, also wouldn't he be on decent wages at Deepdale? | |

the problem will be if we can't have Kevin Long. Gornell and Grant were always his first choices for up front, and eventually he got them. In the mean time, we signed Adebola, Curran and Donnelly.
We need to have someone in place for the Wimbledon game as Edwards leaves on 2nd January. If we don't get Long straight away, do we wait until the end of the month to try and get him or do we look for alternatives straight away? If this defensive run continues, the season will be over by the end of January and the board won't be shelling out for a player they will view as a free transfer in the Summer when there's nothing left to play for.
Unless a deal is in place which I doubt after his recent first team appearance, then we have to look for alternatives. Just hope they're better than his stand ins up front. | | | |

he's not the answer. If he was, he'd already be in the first team squad. Soccerbase has him down as making just one appearance at Barrow (which isn't always 100% especially with Conf teams) but everyone at the club is well aware of Byrne's ability. That's why he's not featuring. | | | |

Without offering any names, the key has to be a new CB, someone with experience and leadership qualities - it could revitalise the whole back 5. Bennett and Lillis might flourish with someone decent alongside/in front. Wouldn't say no to a CM that shields the back four better.
Curran and Donnelly can go if we can get Gornell and keep Grimes. Getting Gray back will be like a new signing. Crainey can go too providing we keep Tutte and Kennedy. | | | |

You lot want to have a good look in the mirror! Half the current squad/ accy team worked their way up from non league. There is a lot of potential in non league football but you need to look in the right places and dont get on a high horse about it! Give youth a chance but most importantly have scouts looking at the right players. I remember watching a 18yr old craig dawson have mr donelly in his pocket for two games yet it took two yrs later for someone to take a chance on a cd then it did for gd!! | | | |
