Clarification: Ratcliffe/Dale Bars 16:04 - Aug 16 with 1969 viewsDale_Trust

Trust Statement:

The Trust has today held a meeting with the club, and are happy to clarify the following points which will apply to normal match days in the Ratcliffe Arms and the Dale Bar.

Adult Trust Members & Adult Season Ticket holders will be entitled to the 50p off on selected drinks before 2.00pm. This will apply to BOTH bars. Proofs will need to be shown.

There may be some occasions where a private event will mean that the offer only applies to the Dale Bar, but this will be publicised beforehand.

The discounted offer will apply to:

Cask Bitter £2.90 ( £2.40 with offer)
Smooth Bitter £2.80 (£2.30 with offer)
Carlberg Lager£3.30 (£2.80 with offer)

Prices correct as at August 2013.

The Trust would therefore urge supporters to take advantage of these promotions and make the Ratcliffe Arms & Dale Bars their preferred pre-match venues.

We would also like to remind supporters that a choice of hot food is available before matches, and that all profits from the Ratcliffe/Dale Bars go directly to the football club.

Chairman, Dale Trust.

This sort of thing will only encourage drinking.

Top work from the Trust. All very simple and clear to understand, which is what many asked for originally.

Well done to The Dale Trust for sorting this issue out and getting rid of the pricing madness fans encountered at the Hartlepool game.

This isnt the first time the Trust have sorted this out though,it seems to run ok for a couple of months and then a problem arises.

Its about time the Ratcliffe/club seized the initiative themselves and showed their appreciation to the loyal fans because its quite obvious that if the Trust didnt fight the fans corner there is no way the drinks would be reduced.

Its done begrudgingley after yet more intervention from the Trust, think i will give it a miss.

Still not great. Only if it's over an hour before kick off?

Will still be going elsewhere for a pre-match pint.

Tangled up in blue.

Well done to the Trust for raising this with the club and the club for listening and acting in a common sense way.

£2.80 for a pint of smooth less 50p discount = £2.30. Good value - shame about the plastic "glasses". Hope thats not a permanent feature.

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

If people are going to the bar earlier, to take advantage of this offer, they will come out more drunk than they normally are because they have spent longer in there, and as a result, more people will be refused admission to the ground for being drunk so the attendances will go down.

Just as a bit of feed back for the powers that be. I went in yesterday and the place smelt dirty. Like a wet dog. Just saying like.
