Hope has been used in pretty much every pre-season squad Everton have put out.
There is a theory (although not sure how much I agree with it) that Everton's dearth of fit strikers has been the reason he hasn't been sent back out on loan.

Maybe Everton only want him to go out on short term loan? Maybe clubs are waiting for the season to start before taking a loan - thinking there's no point wasting days of a loan pre season? Who knows? As for Hilly - think he said he wants to wait a couple of weeks and maybe see how Camps, Muldoon, Bunney do at this level before bringing in players. As good as Hope seems, our kids could be upto the job and Hilly wont want to stop their progress. |  |
