Last day at Colchester isn't much fun.

Never known such a gap between reverse fixtures as the Peterborough and Blackpool games, we don't play them again until April.

That will be ace at 12.30pm on a Sunday.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Aye, a 12.30 ko on a Sunday at Colchester.

Hope there's nothing riding on the result (Dale having secured automatic promotion by then ...).

It's a shame we're playing Shrewsbury Town on a midweek. I've always enjoyed our trips to Shrewsbury.

Some cracking ties for me to put in the diary.

Home games against Wigan, Millwall, Blackpool and Bury are all on a Saturday, which is what I hoped for.

The opener against Posh is a given.

I'll also try to get to the home games against Barnsley, Sheff Utd and Oldham too, I reckon.

Anything else I'll play by ear.

My first league game looks like Millwall away. Not what I would have wished for but then Shrews at home the following Tuesday

Looking forward to this season

Fixtures look good for exiles, with plenty of attractive local derbies on a Saturday for a change.
