There are always issue concerning referees, but Mark Cooper perhaps exaggerates about the whole footballing world being against Barrow:

Bluebirds boost as red card overturned
News 4th March
Barrow AFC have received a boost after winning their appeal against defender Niall Canavan's red card.

The centre-half can face Walsall tomorrow after his dismissal against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night was overturned.

Canavan was shown a straight red card for bringing down Rovers' Leon Clarke in the 32nd minute of the 1-0 defeat.

Manager Mark Cooper said after the game that the club would be appealing.

And the Football Association have now confirmed that the decision by ref David Rock has been rescinded.

Rock had deemed January signing Canavan to have denied Clarke a clear goalscoring opportunity, but the defender will now not serve a two-game ban.

The former Bradford City man can continue in Cooper's side against Walsall at the Dunes Hotel Stadium on Saturday at a time Barrow are a point above the relegation zone.

Cooper was aggrieved about the 30-year-old's sending-off at the time, as well as other decisions during the midweek defeat.

“A lot of things went against us and I’ve since had apologies from the PGMOL [refereeing body Professional Game Match Officials Limited] about the sending-off, about us not being allowed to make a substitution [shortly before Bristol Rovers scored]," he said.

“It’s us against the whole footballing world at the minute."

Not sure the word "boost" is appropriate here.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
