Leaves Oxford for Northampton

That's certainly out of the blue. Oxford battling for promotion and the Cobblers hanging on to League status with their fingernails.

Can't imagine why anyone would want to make such a drastic change within the same division.

Internal reasons at Oxford, no doubt. The timing of it, from our point of view, couldn't be worse.

Was always a strange character this guy, was thinking that since his Halifax days he has done quite a decent job at Oxford, but what could he be thinking.

Poll: Bottomley...

Either way, he'll be looking on and the players will be doing everything to catch his eye. Hopefully we're as up for it as they are.

Money.
He might not be in place but he will be in the ground watching, and the Northampton players will have an excuse to raise their game.( Two actually, as they are playing Rochdale, who have just had a good cup run).
Welcome back JK. Come on Hogan, give us a goal.

Wilder was far from popular at Oxford, fans appeared to want him out every time they lose. Northampton is a sideways step at worst.

Turns out he's not resigned!
The chairman apparently looked in his office, saw he wasn't there and just assumed he'd resigned!
