Because, erm, it's Easter then. Can't think of any other reason.

Any chance you could find out about the pitch covers, DJ?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Simple
They don't work when wrapped up In storage.

Apparently the storage area was playable.

Think 'The Trust' are as angry as the rest of us considering the pissing about buying the covers.

A 'we fcuked up' from the club would be refreshingly honest.

OK, so if this is the case, presumably the Trust will be making their anger public in the interests of their members.

Back to Wigan and Blackpool... In 12 weeks ( long time to go )

League one could be a belter next year and very northern bias....

Out - Colchester Yeovil Crawley Orient Bristol City Swindon and MK Dons - everyone a ball ache to travel too.

In - Wigan Blackpool Leeds Burton Shrews and possibly bury.

Alongside - Oldham Preston Sheffield United Bratfurt fleetwood Donny Port vale Barnsley scunthorpe and Crewe.

Very heavy northern bias potential here.

You could add a late Morecambe surge for the League 2 playoffs to that lot. Oh and replace Leeds with Rovrum or Notlob in the relegation slots - I like Leeds!

Such a division would be a bit harsh on Gillingham though - local derby v Posh or Coventry?? They'd probably apply to join the Belgian league instead.

Gillingham!! Yeah could go either way but they have improved massively lately.

They certainly will be racking up the miles should they stay in league 1.

We are not safe yet... But I am confident we will end up top half.... Maybe top 7 hopeful top 6.

There's something innately satisfying about Wigan imploding in on themselves again. I have a feeling they will be pottering around L1 for quite some while - feels like things returning to how they should be.

It was just plain irritating watching someone we used to routinely beat competing for a number of years in the Premiership and it'll be interesting to see how their attitude unfolds to life back in JPTland.

Wigan's win at Carrow Road midweek may suggest they are up for a fight.......when you look at the names in their squad they must be costing a fortune to retain?

Good local derby though.

Not sure we used to routinely beat them?

Weren't they one of our bogey teams? Seem to remember having my bollox frozen off at Springfield Park on several occasions with nothing to show for it.

Allegedly the wages have been cut massively. Still seems way too high.

I've got to know a wigan fan recently and he's said the same. Wages are set to be slashed next season whichever league they are in. He accepts that L1 is more of a natural level for wigan.
Must say I'm looking forward to an away day out there if they do come down, blackpool too.

Blackpool can f*ck there selves as far as I am concerned. I understand that they have had a lot of money from the PL but they have had a few years that only clubs like ours could dream of, and now they are spitting there dummies out. Realistically if you look at the size of there club and the players they have brought in, do you think they are that hard done by?

That was a bit out of the blue!
No strong feeling for or against blackpool tbh. But I know what you mean. They lived the dream whilst our two clubs slummed it.
I can't stand the parachute payment idea that has allowed clubs like Wigan to have an inflated wage bill and Blackpools owners to suck cash out of their club. The PL paying a club out for years after they have been shit enough to get relegated just makes the championship less of an even playing field so if the likes of Oldham or even Dale (I can dream) get promoted they will struggle like fook to attract the right players.
