FA Cup Ref 11:56 - Dec 2 with 1945 views | dingdangblue | Bizarrely Darren Drysdale - the ref who sent off Hendo last time we played bury on telly. What were the chances of that happening!! 11 Rochdale AFC v Bury FC 6 December (12noon) Referee Darren Drysdale Assistant Referees Danny Markham & David Storrie Fourth Official Jeremy Simpson

I remember the game after that that he refereed us, Hendo did exactly the same with regards to the handball and Drysdale didn't book him. Double standards.

From what I remember they were both very soft. If I remember correctly the telly pundits said as much. The first wasn't deliberate and the second was a coming together as they chased a ball going out of play. It struck me as a referee wanting to look like the man on telly.

Not really, one was on TV, the other wasn't. Seemed like he wanted to be the man in the spotlight v Bury.

I wouldn't have thought so, tbh, although it can never be proved.

And another ref could have warned him for either offence and not sent him off. It was nothing like 'clear cut'.
