Screened on Channel 4 last Thursday at 9pm was a cracking programme and was a start to a series tracking Mary Portas wanting to revive clothing manufacturing in Britain. She is trying to manufacture British knickers in Middleton. Two hundred people turned up for 8 machinist jobs. The "star" of the programme was a 20 year old from Rochdale with a baby son hoping to find his first job since leaving school wanting to be a productive member of society and desperate to be a good role model for his son.
I wonder if we will see bury's Sodje putting an order in on the next programme.
