Refwatch: Gateshead v Rochdale
Thursday, 28th Mar 2024 09:00 by TVOS

Dale’s first visit to the International Stadium to take on Gateshead on Good Friday will be refereed by BEN WYATT.

The Bolton official is in his first campaign in the National League, having received a mid-season promotion just prior to Christmas.

Ben’s first game was Maidenhead v Kidderminster on 16th December, while on Boxing Day he made a previous visit to Gateshead for their home game versus York City.

Mr Wyatt was due to referee Dale v Wealdstone in January, but that game was postponed and he didn’t take charge of the rearrangement.

All told he has refereed six National League fixtures since his promotion, showing 24 yellow cards and one red.

His most recent appointment was Halifax v Chesterfield last Wednesday.

Ben Wyatt's development as a National League referee is thrilling. His rapid rise and trust to officiate key matches demonstrate his skills and passion to the sport. New players add a new viewpoint to the game, which is refreshing. Good luck to him on his first visit to the International Stadium at https://geometry-free.com for the Gateshead match on Good Friday!
