Polish Teenager Wanted By Saints (And Leicester And Everton)
at 19:54:10

How the hell would Koeman know of Saints interest in a player who's only just come onto their radar? You must think that Southampton are the only club with a scouting set up.

Should Everton Fans Be Worried About Koeman Chasing His Former Saints Players ?
at 13:31:00

First off,Stekelengerg won't be first choice, nor will Robles, as far as a first choice keeper goes, the search goes on. As for Pele, I just don't see it. Good enough player but, too many miles on the clock, maybe for £5m to get two season out of him would be a good deal but he's no long term prospect.
SanMarco, dead right mate, you shouldn't give a fishes tit about any other club but your own.
SonicBoom, as I've said on this site before, contracts are worthless if they have a buy out clause. If they have then the best to hope for is that the figure is huge to either deter bidders or get a good deal for the club. I would think that the astute money behind you would have made sure they wouldn't lose out on any potential transfers, or would have set the bar so high that your players are unaffordable.

Saints Still Chasing Zaza ! But We Will Have A Recurring Problem !
at 21:00:50

Koeman is bound to know targets that he identified, therefore he's more than likely to still fancy them if he thinks they'll fit. Or, do you honestly think other people decided who to buy? Let's see who Everton go for before we draw any conclusions as to who they have in mind. We do know that Koeman has given Bill Kenwright a list of players he wants and one bid has been made and knocked back.
"Big rebuilding job", that was good one, laughed me cock off at that one.

Everton Set To Appoint Koeman On Tuesday
at 09:27:54

Pintsized, I've never taken a dig at Southampton, nor, if you read and understand do I resort to club comparison. What I've done in my post is put forward possible scenarios in the wake of Koemans departure. Of course money doesn't guarantee success, but it helps, you can't buy players without it.
As for possible signings forcing a change in style I bloody well hope so, we might not let in as many goals.
Now, onto me posting on this site. People from outside your own circles offering different points of view and, sometimes furnishing facts you may not know, will open up debate and give people more to think about, and therefore more to talk about.
Just because I post on a Saints site doesn't mean I'm being smug in any way, it means I'm open to other points of view. If you can think of one instance where I've been disrespectful in any way or presumed to be superior then please point it out.
OK, the contract thing. I'd be amazed if Koeman doesn't know the contents of players contracts or the means to obtain them.
Now that this saga is drawing to a close I wish you well and good luck for the coming season .

Everton Set To Appoint Koeman On Tuesday
at 23:31:23

Don't put your faith in long term contracts signed recently. I'll bet that they all have release clauses, and I'll also bet that as they were signed before Kooeman left he knows the figures that will set off those clauses. With Evertons new wealth and Mr Moshiri's determination I hope for your sake that your players are happy at the club, but as you yourself have said, money talks, and your board seem quite happy to listen to what it has to say.

Koeman Due To Hold Face To Face Talks With Everton Today
at 23:16:34

All over tomorrows press that Koeman will be named Everton manager tomorrow.
Deep down I think everyone knew he'd gone and it was just a case of dotting the I's and crossing the T's. Also lots of speculation that he's coming back for Forster.

Koeman Due To Hold Face To Face Talks With Everton Today
at 22:45:28

Koeman met with Everton today. Apparently there's a mountain of paperwork to go through before he's paraded, probably on Wednesday.
The two clubs agreed compensation of £5m for the two Koemans' and the fitness coach last week. Sammy Lee stays and his place alongside Koeman will be filled by Duncan Ferguson.

Media Goes Strangely Silent About Koeman
at 19:54:09

Announcement to be made when RK comes back off holiday. The hold up before he went was the no poaching clause, which is, as Everton pointed out, against FA, EUAFA and FIFA rules. So it seems that there is no clause to prevent transfers between the two clubs. That shouldn't be a worry to Saints if the players want to stay.
What we need to know now is, did Everton do everything above board, or were there shenanigans going on? We know that RK was Moshiri's No1 choice, but would he have done anything at all to get him. It would piss me off to know we'd been underhand in any way.

Why Is Koeman Stalling ?

SSN saying the deals done they're working out who's going with him. Definitely Erwin and the fitness coach, but not Sammy the kopite who they're touting as Saints next manager.

Why Is Koeman Stalling ?

It doesn't really matter where Koeman is when whatever to be announced is announced.
Whichever club he decides to be with next season merely has to FAX him a contract to sign. He doesn't have to be in the UK for it to be made public. Here's hoping he's had a change of heart and stays down south.

Every Man Has His Price !
at 21:56:33

It now seems that there have been no negotiations between Koeman or his agent and Everton. There are however talks going on between Everton and Southampton which would indicate that Saints would be willing to let him go, otherwise it would be a straight
"No thanks on yer bike" which is what I would prefer.
There's one word that keeps popping up in these posts and that's "integrity" or lack of it, well this stinks of the lack of integrity and respect that Moyes showed us when he was talking to MUFC three months before he left. Not main reason I don't want Koeman but one of them.

Therein76, I hope you're right and Southampton make an offer he can't refuse, he's not my first choice by far, plus I don't like people who walk away. The thing is has he queered his pitch with all these goings on and would you welcome him back into the fold?
LordDZLucan, Football started before the Premier League, or didn't Saints win the cup?
Was Bobby Stokes a figment of my imagination? Of course not. Cup and League wins are there for everyone to see.......Forever!!

Every Man Has His Price !

Let's get a couple of thing straight first, Everton are the fourth most successful club in England, I would think that sending £100m would put us streets ahead of Southampton, apart from the goalkeeper I'd rather have Everton's squad. So, less of the Everton Knocking and more soul searching eh. Everton have a billionaire owner as do Southampton, yet you infer that Saints couldn't pay Koeman the money Everton could, poppycock. What this boils down to is the fact that Everton's billionaire wanted Koeman more than Saints billionaire and was prepared to stump up, while Saints were willing once again to let a quality manager leave. I wonder how many players will leave in his wake adding to your billionaires bank balance?
