He played for Canada against Belgium in the World Cup and also in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup where he scored a goal. I expect him to be a mainstay in the national squad for some time. Trivia: Liam and his Dad both played for Charlton Athletic. |

Spot on. I don't know why there is such resistance to taking the game out of the 19th century. If blatant and costly officiating errors were rare then I could understand it, but they not rare. |

Is there a possibility that one or more players might be selected with the view that if they acquit themselves well, we might be able to shift them in the next transfer window? Or if not primarily for that reason, perhaps secondarily? |

The 2 games he played for Canada during the recent international break must have bolstered his confidence. He got positive reviews and was very upbeat during interviews after both games. |

+1 Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us four times, shame on us. It will be interesting to see who gets the armband while he's out, and whether he gets it back when he returns. Hope not. |

As Northern has pointed out many times, there is no "we" at top level. Unlike Southampton or Swansea, there is no blueprint. Our cunning plan is to keep throwing money at players and to hire whichever ex-manager is in the shop window at the time of need. |

His record with other teams shows that he is only an occasional goal scorer. With his pace and dexterity he should be a play-maker but he's not. How can you be when you can't retain possession or complete a pass? How does changing his position address those faults? I like his attitude but that alone won't cut it. Management has done nothing to fix his technical problems, or Hoilett's. |

Despite his pace and dexterity, Vargas has not consistently retained possession or made effective passes forward or made many credible shots. Hoillett the same but worse. If those two could up their games by even 10% it would make a big difference. |

Agree we need a draw or win for the dressing room. The silver lining in having so many injuries is that maybe the ones who are fit will get to know each other, Harry's Tombola machine being more limited. |

I hope people take advantage of the email address provided. "Racial, homophobic or discriminatory abuse, chanting or harassment is strictly forbidden and will result in arrest and / or ejection from any Premier League ground, and in addition the club will impose a ban for one or more matches." Who does the ejecting (and how fair/efficient is it) and who monitors and enforces a club-imposed ban, especially at an away match? |

Speaking of high profile media mugshot possibilities, here's a guy who's a full 1.5 years younger than Harry: Full name Luiz Felipe Scolari Date of birth 9 November 1948 (age 65) Place of birth Passo Fundo, Brazil Height 1.82 m (5 ft 11 1â„2 in) Playing position Defender |

Joe: Whee! Look at me, I can multi-task! Kevin: Try explaining what that is to that lot out there... Harry: I know wot that means. It's like if I wheel and deal at the same time. And I did say "if", didn't I. |

Derby, which most pundits apparently view as the unluckiest squad in history after losing at Wembley, is also hardly ripping up the Championship at the moment. Early days yet all round. My concern is that due to the constant changes, the R's can't find a way to gel. Envious of Leicester's display last weekend. |

Why not consider going down? Would require some creative geotechnical design solutions but maybe not insurmountable. Many new stadiums are sunken by design and have good sightlines from any angle or elevation. |

What caught my eye was that we are the oldest squad. I'm OK with getting Rio for a year but we need some younger legs. BTW what criteria determine a club's market value? |
