Four more goals conceded from our last two games against Stoke and Leeds, and we will surpass the figure of 64 conceded by Swansea last season.
When we appointed Brighton Buddha, common consensus seemed to be that we would not concede as many goals as Swansea as we had better players.
I predict that if Brighton Buddha survives the summer, Colin Calderwood will be the sacrificial lamb. |

1. Their locals are bellends.
2. Re point 1, saw a group of half a dozen nippers outside the Cambrian Tap pub on St. Mary Street doing slit-throat signs at anybody who they thought might be English. This was before 11.00am. Dibble moved them on.
3. Then stood outside the same bar, a local decided to acquaint himself with our group. Was drinking a whole bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (a good drop as well) at midday.
4. I got sunburnt stood outside that bar.
5. I don't want to go back there in a hurry. Have seen us play there 4 times in 3 different stadiums, we have lost every single time. |

Thought it was good.
Obviously the result and a great performance by Saints greatly helped.
But I didn't hear any daft chants towards the Preston fans, whose heroic jaunt on a Tuesday deserves the utmost respect.
Hopefully we can make a racket up at Cardiff, and their fans won't be up for it as they have little to play for, so we can make that like a home game.
Would expect the atmosphere at Leicester to be rather different....... |

Quite the slap in the face for Lumley for McCarthy to not be on the bench, but then put straight in the line-up.
However If it means less faffing about with the ball in our penalty area, I'm all up for that. |

The EFL could deem it a frivolous appeal and hopefully double it.

1. Saints 2 Newcastle 2 in 1997. Left a couple of minutes from the end with Barcodes 2-0 up. This was the cue for us to score twice in injury-time with MLT's blaster from 25 yards.
2. Saturday's winning goal
3. Saints 3 Newcastle 1 in 1995. This was an infamous late fightback, but I didn't even go to the game at all. I drove to Forest away on the Saturday and we were abject and lost 3-0. I was convinced Barcodes would batter us. My Mum went in my place, and never let me forget it. This was the time when the tannoy announcement came for all in the Archers to sit down, and I don't think they ever sat down again until the ground was knocked down....
I know this will be met with countless "you're an idiot" responses. Let me just think of it as being cathartic for myself....
I did at least stay in the ground for Barry Horne v Bolton though..... |

Is that the results over the next few weeks are going to be unpredictable.
The last weekend's results in both of the top two Leagues completely show that you just can't call the results.
Most people thought that the top 3 teams in our League would win pretty much all their remaining games.
A Saints win tomorrow night would be absolutely massive.
The top 3 teams will all be praying we lose, as they all know they are creaking under the pressure themselves.
One game at a time though. We cannot get ahead of ourselves, and just need to be fully focused.
