I went to QPR and stood in the left hand corner lower tier. To say I was embarrassed by our support would be an understatement. I know I'm getting old but I've been home and away for the last 48 years and have stood alongside some pretty loyal and decent fans over the years. The lot in the bottom corner verged on moronic. Abusing the bloke in the large hat in the upper tier of QPR fans (above the disabled section), calling him a wa**er and a pedo, abusing anyone else who dared glance their way, continually singing about f**king Portsmouth and then to top it off the bloke next to me (who had his kids with him) started slagging Manning off when he took a corner in front of us - "You're f***ing sh!t Manning, f**k off". I pointed out to him that he'd be better off supporting him rather than abusing him but I might as well have spoken to a brick wall. I left on 75 minutes as I had had enough. I never thought that going to home games would be more enjoyable than going away but it certainly is these days. |

Difficult to get everyone singing when the performance was so mundane and every other song is some reference to Portsmouth. What was the "You're just a shit Jimmy Saville" all about?
The facilities for 2400 fans were pathetic.
The Huddersfield people that we met were friendly and hospitable. A great place to stay for the weekend.
The drummer should be locked up!
Slagging off Ryan Manning - seems to be the current one that the angry fans have to have a go at! |

I'm not sure what is said at half-time but I'm pretty sure that the re-start was not part of the script. What a complete f**k up which nearly led to a bizarre goal after about 5 seconds! What followed in the next ten minutes was not a surprise.
I appreciate the style of football that Martin is trying to impose on the team and it can work when used at the right time in the right manner with the right players. Strange how last night our first goal came from a great direct run from the back by Janny B which set up a defender using his weaker foot to score and our equaliser coming from our goalkeeper. I will bet that neither scenario had been thought of in advance, yet hours probably spent tip tapping around in practice.
What Martin sees in Mara I do not know - the guy wouldn't get into any other team in this league. Thought Bree did ok albeit a bit short of match practice. Holgate did well against some tough old brutes.
I'm not sure what to think after watching that last night - I feel confused!! |

I think I've worked it out. If we score, we concede possession and that goes against the grain. Possession without scoring is the way to go. |

I went to that match. I think we were cup holders at the time and it was quite a rude awakening to be beaten by Hull 4-0 in the League. I remember it being pretty rough up there. I went on one of Bernie's coaches that started off in Salisbury. Been to the new ground three times- saw us win 4-2 under Burley in 2006, get thumped about 5-0 in in 2008 and win 1-0 in 2014 courtesy of a very early long range effort from Wanyama. |

It's an irrelevance. We've had 6 must win games and I think that bar Leicester we've lost them all and scored only one goal. This team/squad is so bereft of talent, fight and belief. In 50 years of watching Saints I have never witnessed so many pathetic performances in such a short space of time. If Liverpool win it wont make an iota of difference to Saints. |
