I've not watched the doc yet but that did seem mad that anyone could go to Wembley that day, should have just been ticket holders and I'm pretty sure to get into boxpark at that point you needed a ticket as well. I needed a ticket to go to my local that day so they could control numbers I remember watching the build up on Sky in the morning and seeing people there and we were saying this is going to kick off later as it was rammed and people were in a right state by lunchtime |

for the 8pm kick off thats decided in advance, the final this year will be 8pm as well and was the same in 2016. Champions league final next weekend is the same as well They are not going to change it on the off chance England get to the final and fans will spend the day getting off their tits and try and force their way in. Ultimately the blame lies with the idiots who were self entitled didn't have tickets and forced their way in, everything else is just making excuses for them. |

for all their faults, and some of their decision making has put us in this position but we'd be right in the shit without them doing this |

I don't think that will be the choice, few other centre halves more likely to be left out than Branthwaite. One thing I'd say on Dunk is like Coady in the last Euros he may well be there for what he gives off the pitch as much as on it. Also he may well go with players who can also play full back like Konsa and Gomez One thing with Southgate is he is very good at creating a happy camp which is why i can't see him creating a potential Gazza situation and letting Grealish go at the last minute, that creates a big story and he tends not to want extra noise going into these tournaments |

Man Utd is a good shout. Bayern might be interested as well with Kane already there |
| Forum Reply | Tony Mowbray at 20:54 21 May 2024
doesn't sound good health wise for him, really hope whatever it is he pulls through, comes across as a really top bloke |

The last Euros he took Saka in the training squad to cover whilst a few were in the champions league final and he was so good in the friendlies as was Grealish that they were in the final squad and both playing regular as well I do think if Wharton gets a chance and does well he has a great opportunity to get in here, he is exactly the midfield player England need |

they seemed to be getting better under him so thats good news |

Harry Cant is a name built for me to spell wrong and make a right cant of myself |

In my head if Grealish was being left out he wouldn't be in this squad, the big name ones not going are already done imo, could be wrong though as I do agree with what you are saying Southgate is quite good at picking players who are thrilled to be there whether they play or not, Grealish is probably one of those, a good bloke around the camp With Kanes injury I think he'll take Toney and Watkins as back up |
| Forum Reply | Southgate’s replacement. at 17:47 21 May 2024
He said it was that big due to the injuries they have plus Bellingham is in champions league final so doubt he'll play the friendlies |
| Forum Reply | Southgate’s replacement. at 14:51 21 May 2024
depends a lot on injuries but would think one of the keepers, Dunk and one of Guehi or Knonsa would drop out, possibly Shaw if hes not ready Curtis Jones won't go and depends if he gets a chance in the friendlies but I'd go Wharton over Mainoo myself but think it will be the other way around I think Gordon will go, might be Bowen who misses out and one of Eze & Maddison i agree with you on Grealish but think he would have been left out now if he wasn't in the main squad |

Playing devils advocate wouldn't Ancelloti be a similar move to Capello, I don't disagree he's a miles better manager than the English options but that doesn't mean he's the best fit for the England job I've always thought international football should be the best of our country v the best of yours so I'd always prefer us to have an English manager |
| Forum Reply | Eze Rumours at 10:36 21 May 2024
both Eze and Olise signed new contracts this season and I would be amazed if they didn't include a release clause for a certain fee, they are both likely to go this summer |
| Forum Reply | Southgate’s replacement. at 10:35 21 May 2024
If you go back through history our record against top 10 ranked teams in knockout games is abysmal and thats pretty much where England have always been, a good team who usually go out when they face a team who are either equal to them or better than them. I personally don't expect that to change this summer or when the next manager comes in |
| Forum Reply | Southgate’s replacement. at 09:38 21 May 2024
yeah I do think thats where he has fallen short, I thought he got his subs wrong in the final and in the French game as well and it's those tiny details which are the difference at the moment I doubt we've ever had a manager who is so experienced at tournament football as a player, under 21 manager and now England manager, must have been to 8/9 in his career so you'd hope he is as well prepared as anyone can be for this |
