Putin and Arctic oil protests
at 12:02 12 Jun 2024

Think you will find it was because Russia was hosting the Winter Olympics and Putin could not afford for it to be failure with Western Countries boycotting it like some boycotting tye Moscow Olympics following Russia's invasion of Afghanistan.

The evidence is clear to everyone who has an open mind.
Nice ending to the artic 30 story. Putin gives an amnesty to 25,000 Russians falsely imprisonment for peaceful protests.

Think you will find they are show trials in Russia with the verdict already decided. What about the state murder by Russia of its political opponents.

Israel/Hamas ceasefire
at 10:20 11 Jun 2024

Israel has never attacked any Arab nation first. It is always after the Arab nations or Arab terrorist groups committed atrocities than Israel has exercised it right to defend itself under the United Nations charter.

It is the Arab nations that have sworn to eliminate Israel and have since 1948 refused to accept the United Nations mandate that created Israel.

A few enlighten Arab Countries like Egypt recognise Israel .
They would of course be an immediate cease fire if Hamas released its hostages, recognised the state of Israel and laid down its arms.

You do need to get out more and stop listening only to Russian properganda and "news".

Not wrong on public sector pension. Most of them stayed as final salary schemes a lot longer than those in the private sector and only slowly moved to final salary schemes when councils, the government and other public bodies realised they could not fund them.

Unfortunately Brown killed the private pension schemes particularly the final salary schemes with his windfall tax on private pensions in 1997. Most private pension schemes were no longer financially viable and final salary schemes were replaced with much less generous money purchase schemes.

This of course did not affect public sector final salary schemes which are funded bt taxpayers and could often be taken at 60 or after 30 years in some cases .

I never support terrorism unlike you. It was the Palistinians and Hamas that started thus conflict last October killing over a thousand civilians when they invaded Israel.

Think you fine people arrested in this country have legal representation and will have a fair impartial trial.

Russia just arrests political prisoners and protesters and imprisions them after a show trial. Russia often just kills them especially in foreign countries.

I support the right of any country to defend itself when attacked by another country or terrorist.

Do you support the Russian invasion of another country?

Improved train service for the Cardiff area
at 14:04 8 Jun 2024

Yes correct the Welsh government and Tfw are not interested in any investment outside Cardiff. New Station around Swansea should be a priority and a half hourly service to all stations like Llansamlet, Skewen, Briton Ferry, Baglan and Pyle would ease road congestion.

Good to see the IDF found and rescued 4 hostages taken by Hamas last October.

Hamas complaing that civilians were killed on the rescue operation. Rather ironic that civilians were killed by forces trying to rescue civilians held hostage by terrorist.

If only Hamas terrorists had not attacked Israel and taken civilians hostages then there would be no conflict and thousands of lives would have not been lost.

Farage is the only UK politician to have successfully gain independence. He got the majority of UK voters to vote for independence from the undemocratic EU. While Salmon, Sturgeon and PC failed to persuade their voters to leave the UK.

That must make Vaughan Guessing Drakeford mark II. He should resign having lost a vote of confidence in the Senedd which despite labour having half the seats voted against him.

Sunak v Starmer tonight
at 07:43 6 Jun 2024

The BBC is run by left wingers and ha been for many years.
You only have to look at how biased to labour question times has become as well as the Number of BBC employees who spout left wing nonsense.

Even BBC verify have confirmed that labour's extra tax would be £500 per year which is £2000 over a four year period

Starmer refused to say how he would fund labour's £28 billion spending plans.

Just because Rachel Reeves said Sunak lied 12 times does not make it true. I notice she did mention which taxes labour would raise. Although it has promised a large increase in Council tax as well as introducing the ultra low emissions zones in every major city and therefore to increase taxation on motorists.

Still posting lies.

It was labour councils that closed grammar schools after the Labour government passed the bill giving them power to close grammar schools.

Correct the graph shows labour closed the grammar schools. They introduced plans to close them when they were elected in 1966 it took a few years to implement but all grammar schools in Swansea closed in 1970. Grammar schools closed quicker in labour run council areas while Conservative run councils kept them longer.

During the period 1964 to 1979 labour were in power for 11 of the 15 years .

It is pure fiction to say Thatcher closed grammar schools it was
Labour policy and was implemented by labour local councils.

Only it is not true labour had closed most of the grammar schools years before Margaret Thatcher came to power.

Most were closed in the 60s early 70s under Wilson.
