When you think about it, it's odd that transfer fees and players' salaries are made public at all. Unless a club is putting a player up for sale and is touting for business, why should anyone else need to know? |  | | |

Glad we're back to agreeing on things.
No idea how he's going to do, but it's another position of need addressed. Another midfielder (hopefully JDG) and a new right-back would leave us in a fantastic position to start the season. |  |

From what Monk has been saying, we want to keep de Guzman, so I expect we might go for another midfielder if we can't get him.
Monk has also said he wants to keep Ki, so that might be for the DM role.
I know we shouldn't rely on rumours, but it's telling that there haven't been any rumours linking us to a RB. | | | |

Always good to argue surely.fair play, on the whole,I think we two do it ok until our egos get in the way.we face real domestic problems at moment and the swans will be our release.very excited but yeah we need another defender.monk has done incredibly well.dumped the frail,fooled off the cowards and egotists amend replaced them monk really has a plan and he ll actually spend more than a few hours a day running the club.

I think this signing is potentially very exciting. He's undoubtedly one of the quickest players we've ever had and that alone can cause utter havoc in defences. There are question marks about his end product, especially crossing, but that can be worked on and if that improves a lot, that's where the "potentially" bit ends in and the "exciting" bit kicks in. At the moment, I think he's the sort of player who can make full backs look like complete tw4ts but is probably just as capable of making himself look a complete tw4t too on occasion until his rough edges have been ironed out.
When he was on the pitch, I always thought it was guaranteed that Pablo would play the best and worst passes of the game. Maybe Jeff has a similar unpredictability about him.

I read on sky sports yesterday that basic was going over to Everton to do his medical and complete the signing for 4 mill. So I'm guessing he won't be coming to us. I would like to see a tall midfielder come. I know that's a bit random but a tall, strong midfielder would be a great addition to our midfield. | | | |
