I've been looking at the current Spain squad and saw there's 2 defenders who have never played for them and have been called up (they are about 22) and gave me a thought.
He currently plays for Spain U-21's but should he get a look in the main team? (When I mean main team I don't mean a starter I mean even as a young player who is a sub). He is part of a team that has only let in 1 goal in the premier league so far and Spain do not have a large selection of CB's atm (and there are talks of how pique should be dropped because of form) so it would be perfect time to try.
He shows potential and was good enough to keep his place against an Argentinian starter.

I think one thing has shown with monk in charge, no ones guaranteed game time. You never know if he impresses in training we could have those 2 rotating from time to time. | | | |
