we have heard similar promises before, although without such a precise starting date on it.
which makes me hopeful.
if this does start, will there be a chance of disruption to seating, a lot of clubs have to close stands etc if they expand | |

If you filter through the personal crap in most of the threads below you'll find quite a few links to this, generally...
Some of our current board want to sell out to an American Investor (30%)
The board are claiming they need help to finance the stadium extension (thus above situation)
Some members of the board are saying we need to purchase the entire stadium prior to any future development taking place. (Hence the American investment)
Some fans are concerned at the prospect of foreign investment diluting the trusts share of 21%
A few fans have been granted an audience with an active board member to answer some questions -others aren't happy about this, some want answers, others believe the Trust are not communicating these concerns appropriately, most think this undermines the Trust itself.
As you can understand, until all of the above is resolved, it's unlikely any of the building work will begin anytime soon.

I have to say I think that now is the right time to begin extension, The club are missing out on a lot of extra support and the associated revenue due to the difficulty in getting tickets for Prem games. I've always stated that the squad must come first but as I think it would take a catastrophe to get relegated now ("Kiss of Death"), Now is the right time. |  | | |

If it goes ahead, I believe they will do all the outside and frame work prior to the end of the season, when the last ball is kicked in anger, they'll rip the roof off, put the boxes and access in and put the new roof on ready for August 2015.

As one from ex-council stock myself, I resent the idea of paying hand over fist to a third party, especially when you have the cash in the bank to buy.
