She's trying to increase the funding Wales gets from Westminster. That's a bit different from borrowing. Wales doesn't have full borrowing powers, although that is changing and they are going to be able to borrow up to £00m for major infrastructure projects from 2018.
The people of Scotland show the Welsh up horribly in this. They have rallied behind the SNP who are the only party with Scotland's interests solely at heart. Because of this united support Scotland is getting a better deal in funding from Westminster and the SNP may well have a say in the next UK government, so will be able to get even better deals for Scotland.
In contrast Wales is insular and divided, with its people attacking the only party who cares about Wales first and foremost. It seems to be the Welsh way to put down their own - typified in sport often, but it obviously runs to politics to. It's a shame, as even though Plaid are ametuer by comparison to the main parties the SNP have shown what they could become. |  | | |

If Plaid were a party with socialist tendencies only with Wales at their heart then they'd get more votes.
Unfortunately, we all know the raision d'être of PC is nationalism and thankfully, most Welsh people are sensible enough not to vote for them because of this.

We all know that Plaid would want independence in the right circumstances as do the SNP. So what. They'll only get it when people vote for it (if we ever have a referendum).
Even if all the million or whatever Welsh voters voted Plaid that doesn't mean they would achieve independence. I'm a Plaid voter and would need a hell of a lot of convincing that it would be in our National interests to be independant.

I hate the Tory party and all they stand for - but Crabb does seem different. The tw@t of a bloke before him - who did not like the idea of moving an existing Bank Holiday to st davids day despite the welsh government wanting it - was more typical.
To state the obvious, its only Plaid that are not controlled by the westminster elite.
This matters because equal funding to scotland would deliver an extra £1.2 billion per year at a stroke. Both labour and tory governments have ducked addressing the issue. Its a matter of fairness that even barnett himself accepts. And why ? Well they have others who shout louder than wales.

The main problem with the UK parties is that the Welsh arm of those parties has to follow the Westminster party line, whether it's good for Wales or not. And I agree that individuals can do their job well regardless of which party they represent. But they are just individuals.
