You have to accept that the majority of the English are arrogant when it comes to sport. Even if they have no interest in rugby they will be hurting today. Last week at Southampton the crowd were singing Swing Low and were very confident of beating Wales. If England won last night they would be giving it large today. Strangely enough, it was a during a game against Ireland in the 80s, Chris Oti, the first black player to play for England for 80 years scores a hat trick of tries, a public school choir were so impressed, they sang a slave song (revived later by the civil rights movement as an anthem) in his honour.
All a bit uncomfortable really, thank God The USA weren't in our pool.
