As usual it's our 'new customers' who have the most negative of things to say in difficult times such as this.....
They've been spoilt by 2 Wembley successes since 2011, consistent Premier League success during this period and also a most enjoyable Europa League season to boot.
They see this level of achievement as the 'norm' so any dip in performance below this benchmark is considered a major issue and a serious concern before they consider renewing their much privileged season ticket or rather preferring to go back to walking their dog or having a coffee in Verdi's on a Saturday afternoon !
The 'true supporters' of our Club who have witnessed every aspect of both success and failure over a far longer period of time such as myself will not allow themselves to become so fickle that they judge our team by a few bad results but will be there through thick and thin to offer their support to the team wherever and whenever it is most needed.
As in life, all good things come to an end at sometime, but the perception of when that time comes will vary greatly from one person to another, so when it comes to being a 'true supporter' of a football club or a 'temporary customer' that time will be miles apart....
A lifelong passion or a passing hobby are the characteristics of these totally different animals but success in any aspect of life will draw attention -it is just a case of how deep this attention (or passion) runs.....
Remember, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and for the lifelong fans on here we've suffered attempted murder on so many occassions !!
