My Nanna was a dinner lady in Dunvant for years (during your time Brynnie). She used to give me extra cold custard (remember that?)


I remember that they were always giving seconds out. Saints those dinner ladies! I didn't have custard then as I was realy fussy with my food lol

That was Iris. Strict, but by God she was a wonderful teacher - absolutely passionate in her belief that ordinary kids should have the best opportunities. She used to get so many kids into universities 'persuading' them that her kids were the best around and deserved a chance. Changed many hundreds of lives. RIP Iris.
