If Jenkins had got his thumb out of his ass we would have signed Joe Allen.

"I was really excited as soon as I heard of the club's interest and it wasn't a difficult decision to make."

He was never going to come to us based on what he said.

We are the first Welsh club to reach the Premier League Simples

We have limited budget and need strikers. Fed has been signed. Whether or not you agree with the decision, it has been made. Strikers win games. Allen's goalscoring record is poor. People need to realise where we are. Move on.

Probably a touch, but more than likely have got at least 5 yrs service out of him with zero risk. Bit of a no brainer for me, but there we go, in Huw we trust, or don't we say that any more

This - lots of fan/media/player-fit reasons why having Joey back would have been good for all parties BUT @ £13M+ & the reported £65K pw wages unless we are willing to spend £30M+ this window he's a pass for now - who knows what might happen in the future with him.

We need, imo, 2 strikers (at least 1 even if FG sees Ayew as one/false 9) & a creative midfielder/wideman + ideally a first choice right back.

Why would Joe Allen come back to us , surely a backward step on his part. Far too many on here too emotional over ex players who seem to take it personally Joe snubbing us. As posted by some , we have pressing needs elsewhere in the team which needs addressing.

And going to Stoke isn't a backwards step from Liverpool?

Yes it is. But it shows how he didnt really give a fook where he went as long as the money was right.
If he had, he'd have simply stayed where he was till January then signed for us on a free. Mind you I believe had he snubbed Stoke liverpool would have accepted our £8million bid just before window closed rather than pay him a full season and get nothing when he left....
I'm really not bothered we didn't sign him and in fact had we at the expense of a striker I'd have been fuming....

He failed at Liverpool, badly for such an expensive signing. He couldn't even hardly get a game under his mentor and face stroker. Ditto Borini. I really don't understand people's obsession for these ex players on the way down. If we weren't desperate for a front man Bony's head fits this cap too.

He's hardly going to say "I would have preferred to go to Swansea and I delayed it almost a week but I didn't fit in with their asset stripping strategy so I had to come here instead."

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
