Is there a Definition as regards this term.

For me, it's tosses from the south east supporting..."supporting" Liverpool, manure etc.

New fans aren't plastics but ingenues

No, it's open to interpretation.

People from Swansea who support Man United are pretty much universally considered plastic. People who only go to big games/wouldn't go if we got relegated etc are plastics in my view, but that one is a bit more ambiguous.

My old dad. Goes on about the Swans and listens to the matches on the radio when we're doing well.

Saturday, he said to me, "I can't even be bothered to stay awake to watch them at half past ten now"

Actually he's not even reached the heights of plastic, more polyester.

I guess I would be called a plastic by some of our fans. I can't attend matches at the Liberty (nor away for that matter) although I have luckily been to a couple of cup games in the past. I'd love to go, but even if I could I wouldn't have anyone to go with.

Yeah but if you can't be arsed to go see your team when they are in the area you're a plastic.

Not for me Darren, not for me.

People should give tacit support for their home town team ,wherever they live.

I'm 25 mins from both Liverpool clubs and I've been to the big Liverpool games in the late seventies . It was exciting stuff.

I've been to tranmere for big cup games but it ain't the same at all.

Plastic is person from South Wales supporting ,out of choice, someone like Spurs ,pool or manure and city now too

To be fair to him, I think there is a difference between being a plastic and not/no longer being a huge fan. It means more to some people than others, nothing wrong with that. Like I said though, it's all subjective.

Well hang me then.

So you decide?

Go tell it on the mountain.

At this moment I'm on a train trying ,with a Scouse friend, to find out where we can watch the game saturday. Ko 7am. If not a fan why would one bother.

Finally ,if you are an example of our fan base you can boil my skids

Of course you're a lesser fan than someone who goes to every game,I'm a lesser fan than someone that goes to every game.

I'm a bigger fan than someone who doesn't go to any games though.

Gonna have to disagree then Darran. Let's keep this respectful ,it's been alright so far.

You re no bigger nor any smaller but you re loyal and that s admirable.

It's what in your heart.

We re about to cross into Quebec so I'm asking myself why am I doing this now.

It's because ,whether some see it or not, Swansea city is my life ,apart from family.
It matters not whom I fall out with. It happens.

I just want the best for my club and ,in my hear and soul, I reckon I'm as big a fan as anyone.

Disagree ?, fine.

Have to say nobody has ever confronted me with a plastic jibe ,in the flesh. I wouldn't take it well.

Anyway

Yeah I'll definitely disagree because you're talking nonsense of course someone is bigger fan if they go to every game compared to someone that goes to none.
