I see you're suggesting over on nonce.com that Phil Sumbler should step down.
Dare I say you could have suggested that on here.

Jesus, grow a backbone mush.

Gary is someone I respect. If he's behind Phil then that's good enough for me. He knows a lot more about the man than I do.

Nothing to do with having a back bone.

He's probably right.A change is needed.Haven't read the thread apart from the OP but I'm guessing it's saturated with how great a job Phil's done as he watched closely how Huw and Leigh looked after our club.

I've no doubt he's worked hard and done many a good turn for SCFC and the fans.I can't think of many but I'm sure there's loads. His finest moment will always be outing the maggots though.Or was that T2C? Anyway, I do think it's time for a shake up and some people have been sitting too comfortable for too long which then breeds over familiarity and ultimately a club run by mates.

There's no doubt that the trust needs fresh blood, but that's easier said than done. Nevertheless, championing the cause for Phil to resign could quite possibly be the beginning of the end for the trust at this time. But hey, some may want that, so as the old cliche goes....be careful what you wish for. Tough times are ahead mind.

Hasn't the Trust just brought two new people in therefore satisfying the new blood "problem"?

Correct. Not through choice though.

Don't be so naive. They don't want 'new blood' just blood!

There's hardly a massive pool of people to choose from though is there (I could be wrong here and would be happy to be proved so).

My opinion is that if Mr Sumbler was to walk away (who could blame him with all the shite he's had directed at him recently) then the whole trust could fall apart and therefore any small chance of them being able to rescue the club would be scuppered.

Better the Devil you know?

I'll do anything for a good pun. It was meant to be a masturbation joke.

Actually, I'd been waiting quite a while for Chief to post so I could sling the pun in to some serious debate. A pity it got lost in a facile gibe swop about another forum.

I'm off to think of a more elaborate pun now involving people falling off perches or extravagant London leases or something.
