Borja 10:32 - Feb 26 with 5941 views | perchrockjack | Must be our biggest screw up We ve signed far worse but for buttons Some serious questions need to be asked as to why we paid what we did So...why did you Huw? Leaving aside the Trust crap , this is what we should be indignant about

Borja on 22:52 - Feb 26 by jack247 | Huw Jenkins is held in contempt because he sold us out, not because of his record in the transfer market. |
Contempt for selling out yes but our recruitment has been indifferent at best for a number of windows.
Borja on 23:46 - Feb 26 with 1889 views | rock1n | People forget Jason Scotland was no overnight sensation, he was jeered. It's all about the system we play, I hope we'll adapt under Clement.

Borja on 09:07 - Feb 27 with 1769 views | perchrockjack | Wrong. Jenkins is in contempt not just for that but for failing to maximise our potential Please just don't give me the crap we really don't belong in the prem as Swansea is too small HE has recuited players who have been beyong bad I give you NGog, Shecter, Vasquez,Grimes, etc etc It's also the case Borja has singularly failed to impress in training to dislodge Llorente or even to merit a place on the bench. We ve put McBurnie in before him Now, why is that. 15 million is a big outlay and no way was he brought in to be back up. Hell, we ve brought in two players to improve our chances of staying up but they ve not been selected to start. The idea of bringing in new players in January is for impact ,immediate impact. Jesus boys ,come on...our club comes first

Borja on 09:14 - Feb 27 with 1749 views | dobjack2 | The questions about Borja are what style of football/system did our recruitment team buy him to fit into? Following on from that which of his attributes led them to believe that he would fit into the aforementioned style/system. We'll never know the answers but it would tell us a lot about our recruitment if we did.

N'gog, Emnes, Eder, Tabanou, Barrow, Grimes, Tremmel (3rd time), and most of Falkirk would prove that to be true. Luckily we've had a few successes as well. I'd imagine in the grand scheme of things Huw's record is probably no worse than anyone else. Especially given the relatively meagre budget (we're one of the few that are roughly fee-neutral aren't we?).
Borja on 09:25 - Feb 27 with 1715 views | Whiterockin | Buying a forward to perform in the Premier League is not an exact science. Many teams bigger than us have bought forwards with reputations in other leagues and failed here. Di Maria, Aspas, Falcao to name a few.

Soldado was the thick end of £30 mill wasn't he? And he was utterly laughable.

Gomis did score the goals that took us to our highest PL position though, and three in the first four of the following season before it all turned to shit.

You have just embarrased. Though only yourself. Gomis is a goal scorer just like Borja. Their records bear that out. The trouble is instead of fixating on why Jenkins broght in players who didn't suit our system you prefer to slag those players off instead. Coming from a man who made a thread on the other board entitled "Hate" i find it all highly ironic.

Borja on 13:02 - Feb 27 with 1417 views | perchrockjack | Strange Steve Or maybe not Another thread brought into this which is out of context ,and you know it Embarrased? Look in the mirror ,son BACK TO TOPIC We bring in Borja.... who is injured, then... we await for him to take centre stage but he s seen not good enough for his role by the people who train him. Llorente is past his best but he s still effective, thankfully . I'm of an opinion Borja was to be number 1 but just hasn't shown enough to merit being first choice striker. Not only that, but Ayew seems to have been brought in to start before him also. I'm seeing a trend here? No? He s out record fookn signing man and he s under impressed. I remember the excrerable VASQUEZ being "supported" on here as he stole a living from us now you seem to be supporting a player simply because you don't like an individual poster ,or so ity seems. Gomis was dogshite. End of Scoring in Ligue 1 is kinda different He was farmed off for a reason presumably , could be he was shockingly inept for the money we re paying him. Now, hopw much is Borja paying you ,as his PR man. By the way, I hope he comes good sometime and proves his worth but until then - he really aint showing much - is he

Borja on 13:42 - Feb 27 with 1470 views | Taliesin | Planet Swans revisionism at its best / worst. I'd love to know how many of those slagging the cub off over this signing were creaming themselves when it was first mooted. I know may were, and considering how badly we needed a striker at the time it was understandable. Turns out he's not as good as people hoped - life eh!
Borja on 13:52 - Feb 27 with 1456 views | perchrockjack | We entrust people to steward our club and improve it. That is key Yet, inadequacies are excused

Borja on 14:11 - Feb 27 with 1435 views | JFSwan | I would agree hes been a flop if we'd actually seen him play. Restricted to 10 mins here and there or forced out on the wing by clueless Bob. Llorente has his place nailed on down atm and Ayew came on as a striker recently so chances still limited. I would be tempted to keep hold of him though, perhaps hes slow to adjust and might come good next season.
Borja on 14:14 - Feb 27 with 1428 views | perchrockjack | I wouldn't disagree but he s got to make Clement pick him To do that ,he has to reallystand out in training and at every turn I wouldn't sell him at a loss ,for sure. I was looking for this guy to set us alight

Aye he may come good but I fear he will now always be an escaped goat for some. Whether he's here or not may depend on how much were willing to lose on the deal. Time will tell

I expect Clement with his time in Spain and knowledge of the Spanish based players knows all about Borja, his strengths and weaknesses. He has also had nearly two months of watching him every day and has decided that he is not worth minutes on the pitch, as he has better options. He will only be here next season if we can't find someone to take him.

I doubt we'd have bought Ayew if Clement had any faith at all in Baston fitting his requirement to be fair. I'm surprised he's still here, and can only think that no one would meet our price or his wages.
