Thinking back over the last 6 seasons we were renowned for our passing game, we received many plaudits for it from a variety of sources.
Watching that game today, and many others this season, I couldn't help wondering what the feck has happened to it? We just can't put 3 passes together these days and most of the time revert to hoof ball tactics.. it's very frustrating to watch.

We started changing emphasis from movement and possession to shape under Clotet and Monk, becoming gradually more and more direct ever since.
Ally that to a club management seemingly hell bent on acquiring players without the first idea how the manager is actually going to use them and you have the perfect storm of stupidity that leaves us in our current predicament.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It's not the system or the change in it but the sheer utter pisspoor quality brought in to replace good players.
Bony was quality. He stood out
We made good money on him and did what
We made good money on Ayew and brought in a guy ,our record signing, to sit on the bench h
That s not a system of play issue but an insanity one.
There have been far better quality players available .look at or fookn Bournemouth , Bournemouth, a tin pot seaside outfit with no history or pedigree but now with a great young manager and players of far greater quality than us
It's not a large of spend that has killed us but whom we ve wasted it on

Agree Monk changed the Swansea style. Either after request from the board or because he himself thought that the counterattack-style works better in the Premier League.
The problem was that the board keep sticking on to possession players like Dyer, Britton, Ki and Routledge while we didn't play that concept anymore. Even renewing their contracts.

I believe that Jenkins is a fraud. He seems to have claimed the accolades for other people's work. In my opinion our most successful recruitment came in under Roberto, Brendan and Laudrup. Look at the clusterfùck of transfers in the Sousa and post Laudrup era since he appeared to take the reigns as self appointed DoF...
Why doesn't he fúck off with the rest of those parasites? They've got enough money so leave us be so we can focus on rebuilding without those twà ts meddling

Jenkins is a fraud. He's taken all the accolades for every random chance event that went well, and no responsibility for anything that didn't. It's how those sort of chancers operate. He should be run out of town. He is a s bad as Petty. He really is. A charade that set his stall out to milk the club whilst pretending otherwise. I hope more people wake up and smell the coffee.

The signs were there when we bought Ki without making sure that Laudrup had any use for him that things weren't all hunky dory behind the scenes.
