If King is coming, I hope it's as well as Markovic and A. Ayew.

Really odd. Just when we are starting to try and get our passing game going we ditch Mesa and bring in a player that has spent all his career in a route one side.

It's not really a fair comparison. Markovic is only 23 and out of King's 61 goals, only 6 of them were in the PL.

I don’t see King adding anything to us at all, championship player, but there we are, I was wrong about Carroll last year. That said, I’d doubt very much he’ll be better than Cork, so the Cork Mesa, King triangle has been shit business. |  |

I understand that but the majority of Markovic's have come in the Serbian league and in the Portuguese league. Aside from the top teams, hardly a enormous step up in terms of quality.
I'd have been excited by Markovic if I'm honest but given the fact that we don't have time for a player to get up to speed over a couple of months, I don't think that the decision to sign King over him is as ludicrous as some are making out.
For all we know, the Markovic deal was in place in case the Ayew deal fell through. Presumably both were considered for the position Dyer has been playing in and King has come in to cover the loss of Mesa/Fulton? | | | |

Mesa has been given some god like status among our fans.
Clement didn't like him. Carlos doesn't like him. He's made more mistakes that have led to goals per game than I can remember from a Swans player for ages.

If this is it, then it's seriously disappointing. We were linked with King well before Carlos was here. I have some hope for Ayew, but it's just another example of this club having no recruitment policy whatsoever and bungling yet another transfer window, perhaps the most important window in years. The sooner Jenkins and his "committee" f*cks off the better. Carlos deserves better than this. | | | |
