Indeed. Leon's great strength, apart from always being available for a pass, is (or was) to receive the ball and move it on quickly - with either foot. When Carroll receives the ball, you know where he's going to pass it about 5 seconds before he does it (normally backwards). He takes too many touches - possibly because he's so one footed. And he's lightweight and can't tackle. | | | |

IF Leon was fit enough to compete and last a good 60 minutes, it's a no brainier. The rest of them aren't fit to clean his boots. No idea whether he is though; suspect not, but none of us know.

They are the best we've got in the circumstances FFS. Just because they are shyte it doesn't change the fact that they are the most suitable players we have and to suggest Leon could do better on no game time is laughable. [Post edited 6 May 2018 19:32]
