An absolutely amazing point considering the gap in quality between both sides.

That was absolutely pathetic from our manager today though, the lack of game management, the lack of awareness of what’s going on in from him, zero confidence in himself or the players sitting behind him on the bench

Thing is Cooper has on many occasions not done anything regards subs and most of the time got away with it, I’m certain in his mind that’s a strategy that nearly always works. Hence his reluctance.

Spot on K.

Should have gone 4 at back with our fullbacks then nullifying their attacking full backs and our 4 in midfield could have matched theirs as they played 4411 with their attacking full backs pushing our wing backs so deep leaving 4 against 3 in middle park meaning player were getting dragged out of position to try and make an extra man,if it happened for 5 or 10 minutes and we started getting a grip on the game then fine, but they were constantly overrunning us so he should have changed something as it wasn't working...

Spot on. Match them up, and then it’s down to the individual’s. Man for man, I don’t think there’s a huge gulf in ability.

That's what we should have done.

K
Cooper ha been lucky in that regard.
He is also lucky to have players with outstanding grit and determination. All managers, including PL ones ,would kill for attitudes like some of our young bloods

Ah right so our performances are entirely down to the players now?

Who signed some of them? Would you give Cooper any credit for motivating the players to perform well and work hard and be gritty? Perhaps training them right to be fit enough to perform with such bravery?

Looking at it realistically you get games like that where your passing is sluggish, nothing is sticking up front and the opposition look quicker and smarter than you. It was almost a mirror image of the game at their place where they really struggled and we looked better and sharper. It happens. But the massive positive this season is that when it happens we are still grinding out draws and even wins. In previous seasons we would have taken a right beating. I think it’s only really the Derby game that we’ve really rolled over and not fought. The way Cooper and his staff and the whole squad has created this togetherness and commitment and spirit is beyond fantastic.

I do think some criticism is valid though. Sometimes we are crying out for change, it was clear that Ayew was struggling on the night but some players are undroppable then others who play well off the bench don’t get a look in. It’s hard to be too critical when we’re in second and picking up points despite not playing particularly well though.

Would have been an excellent time to bring Morris on for Ayew last ten, and go for it, he has pace to burn.

The thing is Keith we dont know what cooper thinks of morris, there was no way he was bringing him on in a such an important game, but today we will see what cooper really thinks of him, if he doesnt bring him on but brings garrick then we know that morris cannot be trusted just yet.

I hope we see him come on and I hope he has a worldie as it would mean that we have another option in attack.

Maybe he wasn't the driving force behind the deal there have been hints at such. Maybe he's just not ready yet. Ge hasn't played in a while.

Bump.

So what’s the collective wisdom after today’s 3-1 win away ?

Earning the respect of his detractors yet ?

Waited for us to concede the goal before making the change which made sense to everyone. But it worked and well done to him. Glad he give Morris a run out too.
