Dental fees went up yesterday from £14.70 to £20 for Band 1 treatment, they also went up in England where they were £25.80 to £26.80, so those who can still access an NHS dentist in Wales are still better off even after the fee increase.
Access to NHS dentistry is a major issue across England and Wales as private dentistry is very expensive. It appears that dental practices, like veterinary practices are being acquired by hedge funds and investment houses who then set about hiking up the fees for treatment, it’s becoming a major issue.
If your pet needs treatment, it’s worth shopping about. Someone I know has a dog which needed some treatment, she got a price from a local vet and it was £900 notes, she got a price from another vet with a surgery 10 miles away and it was £500. 😳 | | | |
