Accounts have finally been published by Companies House. The headline figures were given in the attached article so no point going over old ground (although suffice to say it's pretty healthy stuff), however some points to note from the notes (and in no particular order, just the way I'm scrolling down through the doc):

Dividends confirmed at £2m. Some people owe David Conn an apology.

Confirmed that 50k of shares were bought back for £400k. Doesn't state it here but it's Mel Nurse's holding. That means that share capital is reduced to 950k so in essence the existing shareholders see a % increase.

KPMG are now the auditors. I suspect one or two might have some thoughts on them

Wages gone up from £34.5m to £48.7m in 12 months. Now approx 70% of turnover.

Directors paid £423k, of which £250k went to the highest paid (Let's assume Huw). That's a £50k increase on 2012 on both of those amounts.

Club effectively paid £420k to Stadco for stadium expenses.

The transactions with directors notes makes interesting reading. As known, Huw Cooze's company does the programme printing at £150k. Also listed are £70k to the recently mentioned Steve Penny's legal firm and £90k to Leigh Dineen's vending firm. No further detail on those exist. The really interesting one here relates to Martin Morgan ... there is a £3.2m payment to his Jaxx Bay Ltd company. Absolutely no idea what this relates to. Any ideas?

That's about everything I could spot. Every chance I've missed something so interesting to hear from anyone else who's seen them.

Would the MM payment be related to historic or even current "debt" in financing player deals from the Championship and/or new investment?

Just short - around 4.5k if my maths are correct

If true then there does seem to be a greater need for corporate governance and accountability at senior exec level.

Maybe it does, but then again? Ridsdale was on £500,000 a year at Cardiff in the Championship and that's a few years back.

Is £423,000 to directors of a multi million pound business excessive? I don't think so.

Indeed.

Would like to know how much shopping around went on before we opted for the current printing and vending contracts too.

No but in relative proportion i.e. cost of living in Swansea and the surrounding areas you could live like a king and have far more bang for your buck than say, for example Richmond.

I don't doubt that they have the clubs best interests at heart - but the issue of corporate governance and strategic planning does need looking at, whether we like it it not

But that's Cardiff.

Made this point via Facebook yesterday. When the sums being paid out to directors and shareholders continually increase then the expectations also do.

It's not clear. As of 2012, the club owed that company £30k. That also has to be disclosed in the accounts. It's possible but my understanding is that that would have had to be explicitly stated, and it isn't.

Agree there needs to be appropriate governance to ensure that anyone doing work for the club is doing so because they are the best deal for the club, not because of their position. That has been rather overlooked in the past.

It may be a case of people offering the club a deal because of who they are and that would be grand. If that is the case then a bit more transparency wouldn't hurt.
