Monk: We'll Work On Our Decision Making 23:11 - Oct 25 with 282 viewsthomasJack

Swansea City manager Garry Monk says his team's decision making needs improving and he'll work on it with the players.

A lot has been said recently about their lack of killing teams off and managing games after taking the lead. They've struggled in second halves of games and today it was the same story before Bony scored the second after 57 minutes.

As Leicester pushed players forward to try and get back into the game, the Swans had opportunities to catch them on the break but didn't take them. At times, the wrong passing choice was made and they weren't able to add to their lead.

After watching his side win 2-0, Monk says that he'll work in improving the team's decision making:

'I said to the players afterwards, when teams come at you like that in the second half because they've got nothing to lose, we just have to be that little bit braver with the ball, pass it a little bit better.

'Our decision making has to be that little bit sharper and we'll be able to catch teams on the counter or keep the ball for longer periods.

'That's something that we'll work on but the players have done very well and deserve the three points.

'It was important, there was a little bit of pressure on us and they reacted well.'

Monk also told the Official Site that was happy with that his side showed their clinical edge and their shape to limit Leicester to shooting from distance.

"I`m pleased with the three points,"

"We had a little bit of pressure on us to get the win, and it was never going to be an easy game.

"Overall, Im very pleased with what the boys did in those circumstances against a very determined Leicester side.

"We were very clinical in taking the chances we had and scored two very well worked goals.

"When chances aren`t flowing, which they weren`t tonight, it`s important we`re clinical - we spoke about that before the game.

"We limited them to shots from distance in the second half, which is credit to the shape we`ve been working on.

"All of the players are contributing well. After a harsh few weeks, they got their just rewards tonight with a clean sheet and two goals."
