Oxford pace 14:59 - Jan 10 with 665 viewsawayjack

Our squad deficiencies are clear and on every other thread but I thought Oxford exploited the lack of any pace in our team. Run through Shelvey / Grimes at will and easily ripped our defence apart with width and pace. Our 1st team back four / midfield also lacks pace - is pace something we ignore in player recruitment?

You might be right. Pace is massive.

Well yes we have. We molded a team around somewhat unique Latin-style players with excellent passing skill and ball control.

The orthodox are always orthodox, regardless of the orthodoxy.

Not only physically slow but at the minute mentally slow. The first ten yards is in the head, or so they say.

Yup I thought Cork put decent shift in today but seemed sluggish in what to do with the ball. Enough has been said about Shelvey - physically and mentally lacking any speed.
