Lovely filleted, dipped in flour with garlic salt and mixed herbs, pan fried in light olive oil until cooked through. Then eaten with new potatoes, fresh green salad and a lemon mayonnaise dressing.

Breeding age they are Rog best tasting Bass are around the 3 to 5lb mark max, bigger ones are great to catch but like to put em, nice fish though on bait you caught them l take it and not lures? |  |

Yep, both on bait.
First one on Sandeel and the second one on Herring.
I'd caught a few Herring earlier in the day, they are one of my favourite eating fish and it's unusual for them to be still showing at this time of the year. I'd kept a half a dozen of them and decided to try one as bait, it was dead by the way. It had only been in the water a couple of minutes and the big one took it.

Notorious fish to keep live though, live sandeel for other one was it, deadly they are. | |
