Lots of paper talks about clubs interested in some of our players.

Could be true or a ploy in contract talks.

Taylor has 18 months left on contract hmmm have I heard this before?

Very cynical of you.
No agent would start rumours going, if he's entering/entered talks about a new contract.
Certainly not Tayls's. He's no form for doing that before and certainly not with Pardew involved

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

Just curious as to whether someone might be brave enough to disagree

Their main purpose in life is to stir shit & reap the benefits...cancel the shooting, that's too good for them....boiling in oil would be better.

Kants only work three months a year. They come alive in January to pay Christmas off.

You'll always get consequences when the economic interests of the agents are in conflict with the interests of the game in general. Their sole job is to make as much money for their players (and themselves). I doubt they even care about the player's careers apart from the financial aspects.
The best career decision for Scott Sinclair would have been to play for a mid-table PL team for the next 10 years and pick up £25K a week. The move to Man City was a nice financial windfall, but has potentially ruined his future career. Do you think his agent cared about this and advised him appropriately?

It's good to have someone represent you in contract negotiations (I think I'd do the same if the contract was worth millions!) and they probably had a useful role when the clubs were much more powerful than the players and the players needed some protection, but now they have a huge financial incentive to unsettle players and keep moving them around.

If the agent of one of our players negotiated a big signing fee, then tries to engineer a move away before the end of the contract, why can't we take action against the player for breach of contract (or against the agent for inciting a breach of contract)?

Saw a grave the other day head stone said "here lies a Football Agent and an honourable man" First time I realised you could put 2 men in one grave. Substitute Lawyer/Estate Agent for Football Agent if you like.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!
