I for once would love to see Matt Grimes play a game just to see what the guy is made of. But will league positioning and the cash reward from said position matter so much, that we probably wont see a lot of changes to the first team?
If it is so then it kind of sucks, we are in " no mans land" in the league table after losing to Spurs, our current strikers havn´t made any noteworthy presence, the goals are coming from the midfield. Heck, not even our defenders score.
I definately would love to see some alternative thinking in terms of our lineup, mix some new vegetables in that soup ... time to spice things up, but maybe money will dictate the run. |  |

People on here will say give the fringe players a chance and will be the same people slating Monk when we lose 3 nil at home...just saying...
Difficult one in all honesty
Joking aside would like to see one or two fringe players given a go as and when opportunity arises, but genuinely wouldn't want to see us get dikced in some of our remaining games just to give some guys game time. A very difficult one for Monk to get right. Can't see a clear answer really. But that's why Garry is paid the big money and we're just speculating. Will wait to see what happens and then join in to agree/slate as appropriate like others! :) |  |

If the younger players are good enough to play first team football , they should be displacing first teamers on merit, not just because its the end of the season and we're "safe".
If theyre not yet ready we risk not putting out our strongest team and therefore devaluing the remaining games of the season and potentially have the season tail off, which would be a shame.
I dont think Monk will do this though as he'll want to set himself and the squad a bunchmark of points to reach which have yet to do in the PL. |  |

We have a responsibility to be competitive in every game so any youngster who gets thrown in will already be deemed good enough, it will be up to them to grasp the opportunity. Experimentation it won't be. |  |

We should end the season anywhere from 8th to 11th, so won't drop too far, if we experiment a bit, and fail to pick up too many points - but even 3 places is £3.75 Million. |  |
