For those of you around in the days of the old rivals network and dial up internet, today marks the 13th anniversary of the first game between the two sites at the old Morfa stadium. Great times!

Excellent memory from that game and one of the things that makes this website have the history that it has

14 years I have been running this place and the massive part it played in shaping the history of this club will never be forgotten

I was there too. Good friendly rivalry between players and fans. And it was my last time at the old Morfa before it was bulldozed.

And at the game down near Scurlage. ( pitch name escapes me while having a senior moment) where I can still find it difficult to believe, I met a few decent Cardiff lads.

Well done G, for all the work you put into that Cardiff v Swans fans matches.

Everything you need to know about a fanbase encapsulated in one website name.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

South Gower Sports Club. I played (and scored!)in a 9-0 hammering that day. We played them again 2-3 weeks later at the Civil Service ground in Cardiff, they must have brought a few ringers in that day as the score was more or less reversed!!

Just something that came to mind today regarding those first two games. Only one player played the full 90 mins in both games. Anyone know who that was?

Thanks Lorr, but in fairness everything to do with the team was down to Reeco who worked his butt off for weeks on end. I was just the entertainments manager. Though it was great fun working the night shift in Coed the night before. Any patient could have whatever meds they wanted just as long as they went back to bed so that we could crack on with making the sandwiches!
