Used to go as a child, Was helpful to me as I was in a Welsh school and the chapel was Welsh language. I also feel it taught me better manners etc, and finally I believe I started going originally as my gran was a christian and so we went along with her.

I went as a lad, all the kids in the street did. Most of us then went on to Boys' Brigade, the girls to Guides or Brownies. My daughters went in their turn.

I was forced to go .hated it as I did the morning and evening services.

Father was and is still Pentecostal .

Not easy to love with

Wife s parents saw Sunday school as a relief from bringing up four daughters ,maybe the only time for some bedroom duty ,as it was ,for ladies.

I was actually sent to a Welsh Sunday school for a while

Oddly enough we never went to church but we were made to go to Sunday school. Never thought to ask why. They probably just wanted a bit of peace on a Sunday afternoon. It was chaos in our house when we were all kids.

Went to Sunday School and I was confirmed. Also went to cubs and scouts.

Never sent my daughter to SS, though she did Brownies for a few years.

Can only make better people of us but sadly long gone as a tradition nowadays I think.

Shouldn't they give out roquefort or the like occasionally for the sake of variety?

My mother was most surprised when I turned up back at the house (two miles away).

I hated it and my son will hate it. Not all life lessons are enjoyable.

Plus it gives me longer in bed following a Saturday session.

Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.

Not popular with the locals. Think a few cars have been keyed over the years due to their tendency to double park there.

I always assumed that Sunday School was invented solely for the purposes of parents getting a touch of nook in of a Sunday morning.
