I used to be in the business once. The harder the sell the more profitable the product. I genuinely tried to warn about ppi in 2005 but was told nicely to shut up, the sales processes were bulletproof, at a board meeting.
Because it's essential and non discretionary, Car insurance should be nationalised and tariffed at standard prices on a single database linked to dvlc. Then anyone driving without could be tracked down and set on fire.

I agree, The quotes we've had for the Lads car have been as varied and bizarre as I've ever seen.

Didn't they threaten to nationalise car insurance in Canada a few years back, because the government knew the insurance companies were taking the piess,it may well have been taken off them, can't remember.Anyway it's all tucked up,the only thing people can do is shop around every year, it's pain but well worth it.
100%, I remember the days when everything was included in the price of insurance, like Legal cover its an extra now, which they know you'll pay because its a must have. Legalised theft indeed.
I had to go up to Treforest all last week and the amount of girls/women I saw using their mobiles whilst driving was ridiculous middle lane of the M4 inside lane, I assumed they were texting but it could have been facebook twitter or some other shite.
