Tv and radio are cutthroat and results based, if you don't cut it you don't last. I've worked with some presenters, as soon as they get behind a mike it's like switching a light on. That's why they are in demand and get the best gigs.

I’m proud to say ,whilst flicking through channels, we often have a Quick Look then wonder how he makes a living at what he does. A face to punch all night

There are a few like that whom I don’t understand why anyone finds them funny. Opium for the masses maybe. Ant and Dec, another pair! Miranda (though she is a very good actress just not in her own series). Rosey Jones Then on the flip side to name a few you’ve got Rowan Atkinson, David Mitchell, Alexander Armstrong, Ben Miller and Steve Coogan. Clever and funny.

The demand that is there is coming from producers who have very little imagination and happy to take short cuts, Walsh has obviously been banding his son around to get him on the gravy train see Rick and "Ralfy" as another example and those producers/directors have thought "oh yes that'll work" and the re-birth of the Gladiators its all pathetic.

It was funny for a few episodes, then the novelty worn off. Watched two episodes of Jack Reacher 1st series on Prime at the weekend, can't decide as to whether to watch anymore of it, all that springs to my mind is seeing Alan Ritchson strutting along like he's got a bag of cement under his arms looking like he wants to kill everyone, think the storyline is quite decent, just not sure I can stomach this version of the main character. Tom Cruise had far much more charisma in playing Reacher which made it far more watchable for me.

I love the books Max and I couldn’t take to Tom Cruise as he’s so different to the Reacher I had in my head - I much prefer Ritchson for that reason. Opinions, eh? 😉

Cruise was much more natural in the role for me, ain't got the time of the inclination to read the books to be honest, I tend to read what's relevant to me, work, hobbies, interests etc!

Obviously filling his boots with Tele opportunities , but no in your face appearing always . Some presenters nowadays really oustay their welcomes .

The books are great, the films and TV show not so. Cruise can only play Reacher credibly to those who haven’t read a word of the books. He’s at least a foot too short and nowhere near physical enough. Good actor but suspending belief to that extent is impossible.

Absolutely concur. Never ever watched Gladiators. Bradley Walsh is annoyingly okay but his son is so talentless. There we are a bit of Nepotism goes a long way.

Butty of mine tells me that I need to read the books to get the real feel of the character Jack Reacher and that Ritchson is near perfect for the role. I've enjoyed watching Cruise in the two films that he's played Reacher, he's got the charisma and the acting ability to carry out the role, I'm struggling to see that in Ritchson.
