Roberto says that Yeovil will not be easy ahead of the weekend game

A win over Yeovil at the Liberty Stadium will see the Swans guarantee promotion no matter what happens with Leeds' appeal but to all intents and purposes will also see them crowned Champions of League One with two games to spare.

An almost capacity crowd is expected for the game with Yeovil fans housed in the North East corner - a first for the stadium as confirmed at last night's fans forum at the Liberty.

With Swans fans taking up well over three quarters of the ground (around 400 Yeovil fans only are expected to travel) it should be a great day at the Liberty with just one result on the minds of most Swansea fans.

But Roberto is warning that it will not be easy despite that huge backing as he told the Western Mail “It is normal. Teams playing against Nottingham Forest and Swansea City come with a game plan

“They raise their game and work very hard on the day. We know that. We have been facing that situation. That is normal.

“We are not expecting any easy games and it is not going to be easy against Yeovil. But with the competition we have within our squad, I can guarantee the level of performance is going to be good.

“I think with these last nine points we will be challenging for everyone in much the way we have been challenging over the last 43 games.

“When you have the chance to win a title, you give everything.”

“I have always been committed to Swansea City with or without a contract,” said Martinez.

“It is great when you see someone wants to reward you for the job you have been doing, but that happens in any business at any level.

“We have got a huge challenge in front of us here and that is the way I look at it now. We are ready for that challenge.

“I have always said they had to kick me out as a player and it will be likewise as a manager.

“The more I can be attached to Swansea City will be a good sign.

“I believe this club has the potential to be among the top 15 clubs in British football and that is our aim.

“However, that takes slow and very solid steps to achieve, but we have made a start.”
