Swans Fans Confident Of Cup Success Saturday, 10th Jan 2015 08:56 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews) More than one in three Swans fans believe that last weekend's victory over Tranmere has put us on the road to Wembley success at the end of May. The Swans swept past their League two opponents last weekend with a comprehensive 6-2 win and were immediately rewarded with an away tie at Championship Blackburn Rovers as a result. A place in the fourth round may be a reasonable distance from lifting the famous trophy but as one of the highest placed teams in the Premier League it is easy to understand why people have the optimism that we could go onto another Wembley glory day. All of the tournament favourites successfully negotiated the Third Round of the competition and given the draw it is fair to say that there is a reasonable chance that they could all progress through to the last 16 which puts the chances of us facing one of them should we get through quite high. However, we proved in the Capital Cup One triumph that we can win cup games at the hardest grounds thanks to wins at Anfield and Stamford Bridge and you cannot expect to win a cup without some tough games along the way. Time will of course tell but optimism is high so let's hope that the optimism is justified How Far Will We Go In The FA Cup?To embed this in a blog, comment, forum post etc, use [poll_882] Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
