Nordfeldt On Tougher Training Regime

New goalkeeper on the block Kristoffer Nordfeldt has settled well into life in Swansea even though the training regime that he is going through is tougher than anything he has been previously used to.

The Swede, who arrived at the Liberty this summer, will head into his first season in the Premier League as back up to Lukasz Fabianski but potentially in the best shape that he has been in during his career.

The arrival of a quality goalkeeper as a viable backup to Fab is exactly what we needed for this season as it will ensure that one of the brightest stars of last season will be at the peak of his game to ensure that he retains his position in the Swans side.

"Training has been tougher than what I'm used to," said Nordfeldt.

"In the past I've had an easier start and then built it up, but here it's 100 per cent effort from day one. It's a new experience but I've got used to it and I'm improving day by day.

"I like to improve on everything, and when I get totally comfortable with the sessions that Tony sets us all the pieces will fall into place.

"The goalkeeping unit is very strong. I know I have great competition with Lukasz. He's a fantastic keeper and also a really nice guy off the pitch. We work well together with Tony.

"I am trying my best and then it's up to the manager to make a decision.

"I like to talk a lot on the pitch to help the guys in front of me.

"From where I stand, I can see clearly where the runs are coming from and how we can stop them."
