We need to get in their faces early on, get some hard challenges in. Let them know they're in a game. If we upset the crowd and Mourinho, so much the better. No standing off them like we did at the Liberty last time, showing them respect and being glad to lose.

I would hope that would frustrate them trying to attack through the middle to an extent with people like Fabregas, Oscar, Ramires, etc in there but we'd have to be careful not to leave the flanks bare as they are just as capable of attacking from wide positions with Hazard, Willian, Ivanovic, Azpilicueta, etc. Bollox, I think I've just depressed myself. But we started really well there last season, even taking the lead, we just need to dig in and keep it really tight and not stand off and admire them like we did at home, that was just embarrassing. |  | | |

Quite right, young David. That was the only time in recent years that I can remember when we totally failed to turn up and were a beaten team from virtually the first whistle. |
I think we should keep our shape and frustrate them. I always like it on the few occasions we play without a striker. Pack the midfield and make it difficult for them. We have the players who can make the runs and the midfielders who can spring the trap once frustration creeps in with the opposition and the home crowd gets restless.
On the other hand Bradford stood toe to toe and look what happened.

I agree. We mustn't give them anything early on. Our last performance against them was pathetic and if we concede early those memories will haunt us.

We will probably play very well and hold them to nil nil until mid way through the second half. Costa (if playing) will be winding up everyone. We will then fall victim to an appalling refereeing decision. Possibly a penalty or a sending off and lose 3 - 1 with the pundits saying how plucky little Swansea were. Such is the way with matches like this most of the time. I still hope for another Man U away though. :-) | |

Sorry to piss on the parade lads but let's just hope Diego Costa is not playing today..it's 50/50 as he's injured but we ll know this morning.
I was thinking of putting that vid up of our 5.0 drumming back in January but it's too painful to watch.
This will be our baptism of fire for our fifth campaign and I'm not expecting anything from today...but it will harden us up for the coming games.
